| Outstanding Infertility Specialist Medical Care |
 |
The medical staff of the Center for Human Reproduction's Long Island NY, fertility clinic consists of five highly trained reproductive endocrinologists, infertility specialists. In addition to being Board Certified in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology, each infertility specialist holds an academic appointment at the New York University (NYU) School of Medicine.
Our New York based infertility specialists have extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. Each fertility specialist completed a two year Fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. This training includes extensive clinical and research experience culminating in both written and oral examinations.
Infertility specialist care results in higher pregnancy rates and the cost is usually less. This is because infertility specialists are trained to perform a complete work up on both partners and will prescribe the treatments most likely to result in pregnancy success. Infertility specialists are careful to rule out all potential causes of infertility in both the male and female. Sometimes subtle sperm abnormalities can prevent successful treatment.
Infertility specialists will not continue therapies (Clomid) that have not worked; rather, they move patients to the "next level" of treatment. We often see fertility patients who have been on Clomid for months and even years often without a semen analysis. Infertility specialists will usually prescribe Clomid for only 3-6 ovulatory cycles as studies clearly show that therapy beyond this periods is highly unlikely to succeed.
An infertility specialist should be consulted immediately by infertile women aged 35 and above. Fertility can decline very rapidly in this age group and time is critical. The proper treatments must be prescribed without delay.
Each of our New York infertility specialists works directly for the Center for Human Reproduction, Long Island, NY and are not in private practice—your best care is their only priority.
