North Shore - LIJ’s Center For Human Reproduction Infertility Clinic
Announces New Affiliation with IntegraMed®
Manhasset, NEW YORK, January 2, 2007
The North Shore-Long Island Jewish Center for Human Reproduction at North Shore University Hospital announced its affiliation with IntegraMed America®, Inc. (Nasdaq: INMD), the largest fertility-services company in the United States. As an affiliate in the IntegraMed® provider network, the Center for Human Reproduction will be able to offer a unique financing option through which patients can pursue their dreams of becoming a parent.

Patients willing to commit to multiple IVF cycles dramatically increase their chance to have a baby. The cost is still high, however, and as in all fertility treatment, there is no guarantee of success. To address this problem for patients, the Center for Human Reproduction has joined the IntegraMed® network and can now offer the Shared Risk Refund Program. Qualifying patients can maximize their chance of success with a six cycle treatment package – 3 in vitro fertilization cycles and 3 frozen embryo transfers. This fixed-cost program returns a substantial refund (70% for non-donor treatment plans and 100% for donor treatment plans) if the treatment is not successful. IntegraMed® defines success the same way you do – a baby!

“Our team of physicians is committed to providing superior care, so it was a logical move to be part of the IntegraMed® network – which is known for having among the best fertility practices nationally,” said David L. Rosenfeld, MD, Medical Director of the Center for Human Reproduction. “As an Affiliate in the IntegraMed® network we will be able to share ideas and practices with other top-quality physicians – and we'll be able to offer IntegraMed® 's Shared Risk Refund Program to our patients. Shared Risk is a service to our patients that shows we're willing to care for our patients' financial, as well as clinical, needs” noted Dr. Rosenfeld. Also on The Center for Human Reproduction's team are Doctors Gerald M. Scholl, Avner Hershlag, Matthew A. Cohen and Micheline C. Chu – a team who bring deep experience in patient care and innovative research in the area of Advanced Reproductive Technology (ART).

“Having such highly-reputed physicians look to IntegraMed® for ways to serve their patients even better says a lot about what we can offer,” said Jay Higham, President and CEO of IntegraMed® America, Inc. “It shows that our combination of services and value resonate with doctors we want to attract to our provider network. And given that we have added 6 other practices across the country over the past year means other physicians are paying attention, too.”
